Help save the Rizzaneze!

Hi all,
There's an online petition awaiting for your signature on this page: http://www.rizzanese.fr
You can go straight to the english version:
http://www.rizzanese.fr/indexeng.html
The Rizzaneze is located in Corsica, that small mediterranean island that is considered the birthplace of modern extreme kayaking. The Rizzaneze is certainly one of the most emblematic corsican river, made infamous by its pristine waters, fantastic scenery and intimidating gorge.
It's been theatened by a major dam project for decades, and now we're about to lose that battle. The construction of the dam has already started unfortunately. I was there last spring and let me tell you this dam is gonna be MASSIVE... and truely devastating.

The level of the future damn is shown by these blue signs. Try to spot them, up on the hills; scary!
But as long as there is life, there is hope, as they say. So connect to rizzaneze.fr and sign the petition!!!
And make sure to come and paddle the Rizzaneze next spring. Even if I hate to say this, it might be one of your last chance to do so... This is such a fantastic river.

What a shame... Dams always flood so many great runs all over the world, the Rio Bio Bio comes to mind. Many more will follow. I believe India is going to hit very, very hard :-(
I can't believe someone still want to build dam on Rizzanese! There is no water major part of the year! Why to spoil this beautiful river appreciated by many for questionable profit and "green" energy? What a stupid idea. I'm signing petition right now.
