After spending 2 months in my creek boat out in Nepal it was great to get back in the Nemesis and throw it around on the Nile.

I've only been able to get out a few days in the last 2 months as I've been based 3 hours away from the river up at Sipi River Lodge, (www.sipiriverlodge.com) keeping the business running and making up new menu's and the like!

Here's a nice photo of my alter ego - Will Clark, Chef, Restaurateur, and Lodge owner.

Making Quiche I do believe...

I have managed to get a few good sessions in however, and my first day back in the country I had a great day paddling with Rush Stuges who had arrived at the airport on the flight before mine, from Madagascar. We were both psyched to be back in big volume rapids and small boats, and after a quick hit on Kalagala Falls we headed down to Nile Special for fun evening session..

Here's some photos Emily Wall took from the wave. enjoy!

Tow rope onto the wave in low water levels. To be honest though - even in higher levels the tow is the way to go. The amount of energy you save with the rope lets you go hard for your ride once you're there...

So I'm only getting to paddle the odd day every couple of weeks at the moment, but I can hardly complain of my life up in the mountains, and I'm getting plenty of time to make plans for the rest of this years adventures, so it's all good!!

Here's me and my buddies up at Sipi!!
