Fluid Kayaks as C1 - Rein Hagenaars
14:32 - By Magda Roscherr - News - 4 comments
All my life I’ve been paddling various brands as C1, as well as creeck, freestyle and surf. The latest three years I’ve been involved with the world famous Fluid Kayaks. Of coarse it didn’t took so long before I tried them as C1.
First the Flirt series, excellent and well-balanced for freestyle and all round use as C1.
Then the Solo for creeking the hard stuff with a half paddle, so easy to turn, you can catch the smallest eddies.
The Nemesis series make a very nice freestyle machine, you can throw the biggest air, you’ve even dreamt of!! I also paddle a Spice as C1, a very good choice if you want a relaxed river cruiser, or just one boat to do it all, and it surfs like a beauty.
Latest conversion is the Element, it’s not an easy machine to paddle as C1, but when you got used of it, it is extremely fast, specially with fins!
One tip; choose your C1 model in one size bigger than you paddle as kayak, specially for the freestylers.(So if you normally paddle a Nemesis Small as kayak, best take a Nemesis Medium for a C1).
Fluid Kayaks are excellent designed for you C1 boys and girls and easy to converse. If you have any questions about how-to, don’t be afraid to mail me at; rein@fluidkayaks.eu
And remember; half the paddle, twice the man! (and for the girls; half the stick, twice the chick!)
All the best! Rein Hagenaars

I have a very hard time understanding why companies like Fluid and Jackson that have associates paddling and even competing with C-1's converted usually with the old Dagger outfitting but non, AFAIK, offer the outfitting or even a special order C-1 version of any of their models. My poor old Dagger saddle is really starting to look a bit shabby in my latest new converted kayak. I would buy a solo in a minute if there were a C-1 version.
BTW, Rein, if you have a conversion how to, it would be great to put a link here or if you could send it to me at eculp@encontacto.net I will put it up on one of my sites and add a link here.
Thanks.
